What can I give Reg for his 70th Birthday?  I know I bought him his fishing rods and a fishing book, he is using now.  but I would love to give him something special on the day. We are practical people, cannot be frivolous with money either. Not a lot he needs or wants I haven't already got him before he even asks for it, lol :-).  Trying hard to think of anything he would use or need. I have until 25 August to think of something.

One improvement for Reg as he enters his seventies, he is leaving a decade of eczema behind him. I never did share any of his eczema pictures. but he had it all over his, back, chest scalp, arms and legs at one stage. I decided that artificial sweeteners might have been the main cause and I stopped him from using artificially sweetened cordial he used every day and his rash cleared up completely. I like to let people know that these artificial sweeteners can create problems like this.

At this stage I do not know where we will be on the 25th August. if we were near Cairns and could get Indigo minded I could take him on the Cairns to Kurrunda, Steam Train, up into the mountains giving him a very special memory, I could show him pictures of once we are home to refresh his memory.   I know our two daughters would have loved him to be 'home', in Victoria so they could celebrate this occasion with him, but I do not think he would want to rush home while it is cold, when we have travelled so far north for the winter, we need to stay until it warms up, down south.

I would love to hear any of your ideas.

My morning routine is a leisurely start, spent in bed looking out at our current vista, usually trees and sky, visible through my caravan window, or when I am in my summer retreat, I head straight to the day lounge where I can gaze out over the rose garden to the oat field beyond, as I turn on the lap top computer. With water and good quality espresso coffee with skim milk in my favorite mugs and the dog on a pillow at my side, I start my morning routine.  Reg might be fishing, walking, doing his Sudako or watching the morning shows on TV.

My computer, like me, takes time for each section to 'warm up', and function. So my routine follows this pattern, as I am, not known, for my patience, in waiting for computer program, warm up time. I start before the internet has connected, by deleting yesterday ‘published photos from my computer files.

Then I head into facebook to say hello to my friends, a few comments and ‘likes’, I will even apply the 80/20 rule and delete any new friend additions if their posts are constantly negative or using profanity, I don’t need that in my mornings, I head into facebook to be ‘uplifted’.

My new acquaintances, on facebook are there because I add people with similar interests.  My longer-term friends remain there, because they are good salt of the earth, people, or they impress me, with how they handle life’s issues, inspire me to lead my life as fully as I can, or people, I am learning, from.  Facebook friends are an important part of my life.

I must admit I do notice the sidebar adds, while I am on facebook, there are always promotions targeted at mid sixties ladies on my page, I guess teenagers get the adds about acne treatments that work. I am wary of most of the facebook sidebar adds, especially those offering free gifts, it is often a way to get your details and sell these on, resulting in a lot of email spam. Some of course are legitimate, lol, I even do a small side bar add for my own Kathy Shell page, you can find the link to this at the bottom of this blog post, I hope you will join my page. J.

While I do a scan of comments that came through since I logged off last night, my emails flow in and I check these while having my first cup of coffee.  Then I head back to facebook, looking especially for the news items and inspirational messages, as a comment can so easily trigger something I want to say, that will be longer than a comment, and becomes a blog...this blog post in fact, arose because of a comment that someone begins their day with facebook.   In my emerging from sleep state, I love this little prod of my brain, from my friends, to get it buzzing and into writers/bloggers mode.

Once ideas begin flowing into my brain, stimulated by the buzz of talk from my morning paper-facebook, and the great coffee, I am ready say, 'enough coffee and facebook chat' and switch over to a cup of tea, eat breakfast, then I am bursting with ideas to write and rearing to start my creative writing work.

Is facebook a part of your morning wake up, routine?

Off to gym, I will throw a hissy fit if they try to tell me to not use, weights.  They told me to use a little step and not do the arm movements yesterday in the Body Step class ` I ignored them and did the same as the others.

Then I am off to get my hair coloured. I am tired of being treated like I should have my feet up on the couch reading a
colon cleansing review not participate in active exercise.  This is the last of me looking like grey gran for a while, even changed from the classic pageboy haircut.

Thank God You’re Hypnotized

Type:Music/Arts - Performance

Start Time: Friday, July 2, 2010 at 9:00pm

End Time:Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 9:00pm

Location: Northcote Town Hall, 189 High street, Northcote.

A Hypnosis show without Hypnotism. What is this you say? Studies have shown that a percentage of people on stage in Hypnosis shows are not actually hypnotised. That they are just ‘going along’ with it to have fun and be part of the group. The group mind theory is at play here.

Ahh! but there is a catch, these subjects have to use their imaginations to follow the hypnotist’s suggestions.

So as they are ‘acting’ like an hypnotised person would act, at some point their conscious mind lets go, and their sub-conscious takes over, so that they actually do end up having an hypnotic experience.

What does this mean? We can do away with long winded inductions, and get straight to the fun. And yes, like a TV show of a similar name, the subjects will play the part of the celebrities, who have to ad-lib in strange and funny situations.

Head online to book your tickets, and check out the other amazing shows at this years Melbourne magic fest. Ticket request.

I love seeing mum's discover businesses they can run and work around the needs of growing families.

I also needed to work around a young family once and indeed I earn a small income to supplement my carer allowance by accepting advertising for some products (I am selective), here on my blogs and know my readers understand I have a need to pay for my internet, fees and a little of my time, in this way.

I strive to keep the advertising content to the side bar or discrete if it is within the text..

This is not a paid add, it is a genuine desire to assist a friend, Penny Michie, grow her business,
J.

I love opening my facebook, page and seeing interesting updates from my blogging friends about project management software and uplifting status updates, from friends, like Joy of Brilliance who’s current status, says:- A for Attuned, Awake, Aligned, Aware, Abundance, ALIVE. Which 'A' words Light you up?

I had to reply:- Affinity, the likeness of one for another.

It has been at the back of my mind to want to make some comment about what I considered the secret of Reg and my own, successful marriage, the success being based on loving those qualities we enjoy in each other and respecting the other partner’s right to those qualities we don’t love. Marriage is not about trying to change the other person into who you want them to be. That I believe is also the secret to living life in peaceful coexistence with everyone.

We all have more in common, (this affinity), than we have differences. This can be a foundation for everything from tolerance of those we might otherwise have feared because of their differences and for lasting love in marriage.

We can focus on those areas where we are united, in belief and respect the other person's differences, not insisting they change.

It is not our right to mould others to be in agreement with us or to be like us. To focus on the affinity we have with them and respect the differences, we get a lot more of those other A's :-) A for Attuned, Awake, Aligned, Aware, Abundance, ALIVE.

I am recommending the web site Bloggers against Plagiarism to everyone involved in writing and reading blogs. The description they give of their site, says, ‘ Most bloggers are ethical and do the right thing but there are some who exploit the hard work of others and just STEAL content to pass off as their own.

They must be stopped! If you know of a blogger doing this, please report them’.

Plagiarist is the acne for a creative person.
As an artist, I have been, confronted, for decades by people, trying to copy, my artwork and I have recently become aware that this happens to bloggers also.

I have data dot imprinted, many of my major art work, and I place my thumbprint in the side margin of each work, plus I paint with the world’s best quality art materials and no copier of my painting could repeat all those pointers, so a copy could always be detected.

Plagiarising a blog requires no skill. It is simple cut and paste work.

However, it is easy to prove plagiarism.
The internet dates works when they are published, it is easy to see who's post, preceded anothers.
Bloggers against Plagiarism can explain in more detail, I urge those interested in blogging with ethics, to join the group, learn more about how to protect your own and other reputable bloggers, work.

Take a stand to stop Internet criminals. This is just as much a crime as any other form of theft.  It is time we stopped with the soft lables. There is no such thing a joy riding it is car theft. There is no such thing as shoplifting it is shop theft, there is no such thing as 'only Plagiarism'.
Plagiarism involves intellectual and or creative rights and income theft.
It is stealing!
it is a criminal act that should not be wishy washy, white washed.

BEAUTIFUL Easter weather here in northern Victoria.

I had intended to spend Easter, packing the caravan, working in the garden, preparing it for winter by pruning roses, and tidying the climbing plants, but I have so far left Reg to potter in the garden while I try to improve my blogs.  A little tidying up and looking at the direction they are taking.

I have decided this, blog, my more personal diary style blog should feature a little more arts and entertainment and lol :-0, this might mean that I can also include a little more entertainment in my life. A sneaky move I think. lol.  I can call it 'research', and con my husband into stepping outside his comfort zone of a quiet rest at home or outside the caravan. lol.

Here is a picture of my husband, lol J, where I need him, in view, where I know he is safe, outside the window, tying back the only part of the garden he had any say in lol J and the part he is rightly very proud of, the wisteria vine over the pergola.  He chose the vine and the location of the pergola in the garden and the truth is, I could not have chosen better myself J.

Do you allow intuitiveness to guide your actions?

I am glad I quit, early last night, I did not do my customary late night full body workout after Reg went to bed, nor sit and blog a few stories to satisfy my creativity.  I must have intuitively known I needed my sleep.  If I had gone to bed earlier and not been as tired, I might have heard my man stir and prevented his fall last night. I must stay more in tune, with where I need to use my energy, for a while.

We had a lovely evening at my eldest daughter’s home, a delicious meal but these simple things, which should be a joy, if they come out of routine for my man, can tire and upset him. He usually wakes me up if he needs to go to the Kohler toilet.at night, but not last night, I was woken by the THUD when he fell hard, part on the floor and part against the furniture.

I am just sitting around now waiting for him to wake up as I don’t want him to attempt to get up by himself again, if he is still not fully orientated this morning.

Thank you all my wonderful friends who sent me support messages last night when I mentioned I needed to slip back into carer mode and could not focus as much attention to the fitness training this week.  I will do as much as I can to be active and not let this be a setback but I am going to do all I can to get Reg relaxed and content again so this current flair of his, fronta lobe degeneration,  settles down as soon as possible.

Hope to be posting, more enthusiastically by tomorrowJ.

I will get Reg checked over at the doctors this morning.

Intuitiveness, Do You Respond to Your Inner Voice?
Trusting in my Intuition as much as my knowledge has been a huge factor in making decisions that have helped, both Reg and me keep reasonably, fit and well. Last night was a reminder to me to stay, 'tuned in'.

My granddaughter Hannah. From my art work,
It has been a busy couple of days since we have arrived home. I am still striving to get myself back into a good exercise discipline though i am doing a lot of incidental exercise.

Today was a happy occasion, I went to see my daughter in Shepparton and the grandchildren and we go there for dinner, tomorrow night.

I have been catching up with the usual things you do when you arrive home from a five-week holiday, the shopping, washing a bit of cleaning and bill paying.

I got a letter from Centre link that has my husband listed and having a small life insurance policy, which he does not have. I have no memory of our getting life insurance quotes nor our accepting them I remember a couple of years ago they had us listed as owning an acre of land we never bought and I wonder how  they muddle things up like that, I just know I had best go and sort it out before Easter and before we head off on our next stage of  our travels.
