Brumbies Running, I loved the painting and now I love the feeling of running.

I was wondering if people could become
hooked on running as while I am a long way from that state, I am finding it is becoming my favourite form of exercise. This is one more surprise to me.  I was the child at school who could not run; who would think it would become relatively easy for me to do it. I love the feeling of the endorphins, kicking in, making me feel so good after a run. Lol, am I becoming a running junkie? While many people are still searching for the diet pill apidexin aid, I am becoming hooked on running as my preferred fitness regime.

Here are the reasons I love running.

1/ I never have enough time in a day, so I get more exercise ‘punch’ in 30 minutes of running than could get in 1 hour of walking.

2/I rejoice in the sheer exhilaration that ‘I can do it’, every time I run.

3/As I run, I am thinking, ‘my bones are getting stronger, I am running away from osteoporosis.’

4/When, I run, I believe that I will achieve my goal weight.

5/I have gained huge improvements in my lung health through running. Running is the best decongestant I know, and my aerobic capacity has skyrocketed from where it was.

6/ Running is so compatible with my love of nature. Cross-country running is going to be ‘Me’.

7/I can to a large part, by running on open areas like beaches and ovals, run where I am near my family, and share the experience with them and benefit from their encouragement J

Right now I am still striving to make running a routine I will do regularly, but it is becoming easier each day to see how I will achieve making this a habit, one I hope to balance with the other important things in my life. I don’t plan it make it an obsession, lol, J, I cannot see that ever happening.

Do you love running?

I have a lovely weekend with no appointments, just beginning. I plan to begin a new artwork; I have a horse and rider in breeches, commissioned art work I hope to finish.

I am not a horse person myself, but I do admire horses and find them a wonderful subject for the artist.

I have illustrated this post with some of the fridge magnets I have made, from the images of horses I have painted.  These can be purchased from me ‘direct from artist’, over the next couple of weeks, if you are in the South Gippsland area. We will be touring around, the Tarra Valley  through to Lakes Entrance region, watch my status updates for our Art/Print/Crafts, viewing locations or order these from my Women,Words,Works blog and website.
